Waiting for the storm to pass

Dearest reader,
Life is full of ups and downs as we all know. Sometimes its cool, cozy, sunny, breezy and all but there are times when its just stormy.... Real storm! That time when you feel it's over and everything seems to work against you. What do you think should be done at this point? Give up? No!!! One of my favorite quotes has it that "when you give up when its winter, you'll miss the promise of spring, the beauty of summer and the fulfillment of fall"
My sincere advice is that you wait. I know waiting is not easy and many don't like the idea of waiting. This is easily seen in the bank and public gatherings where people prefer to take 'short cuts' and overtake those who arrived before them so as to avoid waiting. But in life, 'waiting' is one process that can transform and shape our lives. The caterpillar has to wait and pass through a process before it becomes a beautiful and colorful butterfly.
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job. He lost almost everything he had, even his wife told him to curse God and die but in the midst of the storm he said " all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come". He actually waited and remained faithful to God. Yes, the Lord blessed him more than he had lost (Job 42:12).
Dearly beloved, the finances, good health, marital favor, fruit of the womb, academic success, job offer and that answer to your prayer. They will all come with peace of mind attached. All you have to do is... WAIT!!! Wait on God.

Love always,
Alice Asuquo

THINK OF THIS

How good is a house if its not a home How good is a tree if it bears no fruits How good is a garden if it has no flowers How good is a clock if it cant tell the time How good is are friends if they cant care and share How good are eyes if they cant be used for sight How good are ears if they cant be used for hearing How good is a nose that cant be used for breathing How good are legs if they cant be used for locomotion How good is a mirror that cant reflect images How good is a phone that cant be used for calls How good is a heart that cant pump blood How good is a book that cant be read How good is a youth without a dream and How good if your life if you are not living for Christ Remember a life without Christ is a life in crisis written by Alice Asuquo

SLAVERY AND ETERNITY

Kidnapped and stolen from homeland Their capture was brutal and inhuman For a terrible voyage each was branded Hot coals to the skin was much dreaded Packed into hot and dark holds of slave ships Everything were they given accompanied by whips Surviving a loathsome and terrible voyage Death was an only way out of bondage Years have passed since slave trade ended Still many live in fear and some in hatred Some willfully go into worst slavery Thinking not of freedom because they move freely Unfortunately everyone is born a slave But can choose to whom he/she is enslaved Fearfully many go for evil And become slaves to the devil When oft with luxury they are blindfolded Many forget life after they are dead But unto God we are not slaves but sons Wearing crowns as bright as the sun On the day of that great morning When in beauty it shall be dawning Which gate unto you shall be open That to peace or to an oven Written by Precious Eze For Favour Bulletin

SEASONS

At morning The cock crew Announcing a new day Time to wake Time to learn Time to grow In a twinkle of an eye The afternoon came by The sun shone brightly Time to work Time to earn Time to put learning into practice Tick tock went the clock And the night showed up Oh night! A time to rest And time to reap What have I achieved? I asked myself The light of the sun, moon and stars Are all gone dim before my eyes What a seasonal change! My once strong arms are trembling My legs are now weak My teeth are now few Even the sounds i used to enjoy I hear them no more My hair has turned white Like almond blossoms Oh! i'm soon going to my final resting place But rejoice thou young man You are yet in your morning season Be strong, learn and work For the night cometh When no man can work Alice Asuquo
