THE BEAUTIFUL SIDE OF SCARS

Someone will begin to ponder and wonder, 'what is beautiful about this scar of mine, this very scar I try to hide ?' I know they mostly appear ugly with lots of unpleasant memories. Apart from those ones on the skin, there are emotional scars that also hurt whenever the memories come to mind. We dare not talk about them because they do make us feel bad, unworthy and pained.

The truth is, we have dwelt on these thoughts for too long, let's move to the other side....

~ The scars you see are a proof of healing. Without healing, there will be no scar. That scar can serve as a testimony that God heals.

~ For every scar, there is a story to tell and there's something about stories... they inspire people, making them learn a thing or more.

~ Scars have a way of giving caution to people. It keeps reminding you not to make the same mistake or take the same step.

~It can birth purpose: When you see people who are in pains or struggling with the same things you struggled with, you'll know how to care for them and show compassion (1 Cor 1:4).

~ Your failures, mistakes, pain, delay, tears and scars are very useful in your life's journey. You can turn your mess into a message. See ehn... God makes beauty from ashes (Isa. 61:3). So, something beautiful can come forth from your scars.

The cute guy came around and smiled at you, such that made your heart melt right inside of you and then he said Ï love you". The feeling was just indescribable, in fact you felt the whole world was revolving around you. He told you that you were the true definition of perfection and he couldn't live without you... THE PRESENCE OF LOVE

When you are in love with someone, a walk in the rain becomes a welcomed chance to share an umbrella. An unexpected snow-storm provides the setting for a quiet afternoon snuggled in front of the fireplace together. What could be bad times are good when you are with the one you love. In the same way, a growing relationship with God and appreciation for His presence beside you can give you a whole new outlook on life's storms. From a short-lived cloudburst to a long and difficult winter, adversity offers yet another occassion to draw closer to the Lord you love - and who loves you even more. Nothing can happen to you that could be too small for this protective hands or big. Nothing you will ever face could be too serious, too difficult or too lasting to keep the warmth and closeness of his comfort away from your heart.
