YOUR BEST LIFE NOW

   I feel it's pertinent to share these lessons with you dear reader. They are life's lessons you can learn from and practice easily from the book 'Your best life now' written by Joel Osteen, one of my best pastors and author.

   From the book, I learnt that your journey to a brighter future begins with these 7 steps;

1. Enlarge your vision: You must conceive it in your mind before you can receive it in your hand. Matt 9:17, Isa 43:19.
 *Expect things to change for your favor for God always meets you at the level of your expectancy.
* if you can visualize it with your heart and mind, seeing it through the screen of God's word with your spiritual eyes, it can become a reality in your life.

2. Develop a healthy self image: What do you think you are? You will never rise above the image you have for yourself in your mind. In life, you'll surely become what you believe Matt 9:27-29

3. Discover the power of your thoughts and words. The mind is like a magnet it can easily attract those thoughts you keep on nursing and words  indeed are powerful. Proverbs 18:21, James 3:9

4. Let go of your past: You may have gone through things that nobody deserves to experience in life. Perhaps you were physically, verbally, sexually or emotionally abused. Maybe you have struggled with illness  or some irreparable physical problems. Although it's painful but let go.
1 John 5:6, Hebrews 12:15
* Let go of those emotional wounds. Don't let bitterness take root.

5. Find strength through adversity: We all face challenges in life. We all have things that come against us. We may get knocked down on the outside but the key to living in victory is to learn how to get up on the inside. Hebrews 10:35, 1pet 4:12, Hab 2:3

6. Learn to give: it's not about money alone it involves resources, time, advice Etc. Genesis 12 :2 give and it shall be given unto you. The world is desperate to experience the love and confession of our God. Someone needs what you have.

7. Choose to be happy: Happiness is a choice. Choose to be happy despite your struggles and challenges. One of the healthiest things you can do is to learn to smile more often. Psalm 118:24

THINK OF THIS

How good is a house if its not a home How good is a tree if it bears no fruits How good is a garden if it has no flowers How good is a clock if it cant tell the time How good is are friends if they cant care and share How good are eyes if they cant be used for sight How good are ears if they cant be used for hearing How good is a nose that cant be used for breathing How good are legs if they cant be used for locomotion How good is a mirror that cant reflect images How good is a phone that cant be used for calls How good is a heart that cant pump blood How good is a book that cant be read How good is a youth without a dream and How good if your life if you are not living for Christ Remember a life without Christ is a life in crisis written by Alice Asuquo

SEASONS

At morning The cock crew Announcing a new day Time to wake Time to learn Time to grow In a twinkle of an eye The afternoon came by The sun shone brightly Time to work Time to earn Time to put learning into practice Tick tock went the clock And the night showed up Oh night! A time to rest And time to reap What have I achieved? I asked myself The light of the sun, moon and stars Are all gone dim before my eyes What a seasonal change! My once strong arms are trembling My legs are now weak My teeth are now few Even the sounds i used to enjoy I hear them no more My hair has turned white Like almond blossoms Oh! i'm soon going to my final resting place But rejoice thou young man You are yet in your morning season Be strong, learn and work For the night cometh When no man can work Alice Asuquo

BARE-FEET TO HIGH HEELS

With speed like that of a thunder clap The din of soft little bare-feet Veered into sounds of sharp high heels hmmm, she's growing into a woman With tempo likened to that of a lightening bolt She's now grown from pampers Into puberty, now with sanitary pads Yeah! she's welcome to the world of womanhood With speed like that of light She's dispatched from the train of childhood Now struggling with self-discovery in adulthood Indeed these are grand steps into womanhood From a wild, mischievous and shabby look Into a face adorned with cosmetics and youthful radiance The outside beauty is sure but the inside Why am i who i am? she ponders Why do i feel vulnerable and incomplete, she ponders Or am i just a beautiful container made by my maker? Maybe  i was coupled with a purpose and and qualities altogether A woman like Rebecca i can be Cos though pretty yet lived a life of purity Not like our beautiful Racheal Oh! very attractive but yet futive A...
