For the storms we see
The insurgency in the north
The insecurity in the south
the chaos in the east and
The calamities in the west
Lord, we need your peace

The nation weeps profusely
As d blood of innocent citizens
Get spilled ceaselessly
The bombings and abductions especially
Tears various families apart
Leaving pains in many hearts
Lord, we seek your peace

As a hart longs for flowing streams
Nigeria thirsts for peace
Rain down your peace upon our nation
To calm the storms in our states
Joy to our people
Healing to our hearts
And restoration to our land
Dear Lord, Nigeria prays for peace
