PROCRASTINATION

It is a thief of time
For it creeps slowly into the mind
With tender appeal of rest
And captivating thoughts
To do today's tasks tomorrow
A day not found in the calendar
A day that pleases a lazy man
Tomorrow never comes
For today is the tomorrow
You talked about yesterday

Time wasted, they say
Is irreplaceable
And a fraction of a whole life goes
With each wasted time
Dig a well before you are thirsty
Plant a tree before you are hungry
Make that hay while the sun shines
To avoid procrastination
Let us make a determination
To shun unnecessary relaxation

Dreams

Myriad of thoughts Running through your mind A dream of a beautiful and colourful future An irony of the present bleak and black situation Is it feasible or attainable? You ponder and wonder Just because you can't see something Doesn't mean it isn't there Keep your dreams alive!!  ~Alice Asuquo

Fire + Ice

Fire+Ice Some are hot like fire;  Sweltering, tangy, hot and spicy Some are cold as ice; Numbing, frosty, cool and chilly Everyone can't be the same Howbeit, with tolerance and understanding We'll stay together in peace and love ~Alice Asuquo
