A mother's love

Its a love so divine and true
A mother's love cannot be compared to another
It is as sweet as honey...
A taste that remains palatable
Throughout a lifetime
Her love is as warm as wool
She goes through the hustle and bustle
To ensure that life for her child is pretty cool

As steady as a rock
Mother's love remains unchanged
Amidst faults and wrongs of her child
She forgives

A mother's love is as gentle as a dove
She's always there with a dose of love
Mother remains patient as Job
Through the thick  and thin
Even the highs and lows
Quietly  teaching  and  correcting  in love
For the hope she has for  her  child

She gets busy as a bee
So lucrative and creative
Engaging in business
And  neglecting  idleness

Her love is incomparable
In her smile, you see the sunshine
Her heart is made of pure gold
Yes, her love never  grows old
A mother's love

FORMERLY USELESS

FORMERLY USELESS In this journey of life, we get to hear about or meet people who are being considered as bad examples. People often give advice to others and say, 'do not be this or that person'  Lydia grew up in a toxic environment, being born out of wedlock and her naive mother could not really give her the upbringing she deserved. She was forced to navigate her way through life all alone. Often times, people referred to her as a useless child. She lived a life without sense of purpose till the day she was led to Jesus and her life experienced a turn around for good. You may be in a situation where people have looked at your life and termed you 'useless'. The good news is that even though you are a cultist, a thief, a fornicator, an adulterer or the likes, Jesus is ready to change your story. Onesimus was reintroduced to Philemon, his slave master urging him to take him back stating that ''Formerly he was useless to you but now he has become usef...

THINK OF THIS

How good is a house if its not a home How good is a tree if it bears no fruits How good is a garden if it has no flowers How good is a clock if it cant tell the time How good is are friends if they cant care and share How good are eyes if they cant be used for sight How good are ears if they cant be used for hearing How good is a nose that cant be used for breathing How good are legs if they cant be used for locomotion How good is a mirror that cant reflect images How good is a phone that cant be used for calls How good is a heart that cant pump blood How good is a book that cant be read How good is a youth without a dream and How good if your life if you are not living for Christ Remember a life without Christ is a life in crisis written by Alice Asuquo

SEASONS

At morning The cock crew Announcing a new day Time to wake Time to learn Time to grow In a twinkle of an eye The afternoon came by The sun shone brightly Time to work Time to earn Time to put learning into practice Tick tock went the clock And the night showed up Oh night! A time to rest And time to reap What have I achieved? I asked myself The light of the sun, moon and stars Are all gone dim before my eyes What a seasonal change! My once strong arms are trembling My legs are now weak My teeth are now few Even the sounds i used to enjoy I hear them no more My hair has turned white Like almond blossoms Oh! i'm soon going to my final resting place But rejoice thou young man You are yet in your morning season Be strong, learn and work For the night cometh When no man can work Alice Asuquo
